This manual was written for the 1990 - 1995 096 and 097 transaxles, but is also applicable to the newer 01M and 01N transaxles. The 096 and the 01M transaxles are the same, except 01M transaxles have two speed sensors, 096 transaxles have one. More specifically the 01M has a vehicle speed sensor (VSS), and a transmission vehicle speed sensor. The 096 does not have the latter, only the vehicle speed sensor.
